Watch Danny Brown’s Red Bull Music Academy Lecture
Danny Brown sat down with journalist Hattie Collins in Glasgow on 3/28 as part of the Red Bull Music Academy’s UK tour. Collins interviewed Brown for 80 minutes and covered an array of topics, including but definitely not limited to: his childhood in Detroit, house music, Dr. Seuss as an influence, and his deep-seated desire to work alongside Trent Reznor. Brown also claims that his biggest hometown influence growing up was not, in fact, a rapper. It was Jack White and the White Stripes, who he saw play at a small local venue, and then the next minute they were, “On fuckin’ MTV, winning Grammys.” Watch the interview below.
