Shut Up, Dude: This Week’s Best And Worst Comments
Busy weekend for music fans. There’s Coachella, again. If you’re going, or watching on AXS TV, we have some recommendations for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner will presumably sit this weekend out. Meanwhile Saturday is Record Store Day, a holiday that’s ultimately good for music retailers’ bottom lines, but not without frustrations to smaller shops and labels (and consumers). And tomorrow’s the annual Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony. Congrats to Lou Reed, Joan Jett, Green Day, et al. Next year Kraftwerk and the Smiths — and more women — would be nice.

I assumed before I read this and had only seen the title of the article that albini would hit the nail on the head for the 6,842nd time and I was right.. and you know what he was right too. That HD painting vs. physical art analogy was killer. Really though I’m going to have to use that myself |

I agree with Mumford and Sons on something and now I’m eyeing my dog suspiciously because I just know he’s going to start talking to me any second. |

Mumford & Sons opinion about anything is about as relevant as their music. Make of that what you want. |

Great song. Easily my favorite of theirs. That being said, still seemed somewhat like a Karaoke performance live, but that’s how it goes without live instrumentation. |

Thanks so much for linking to my site for the visual support and illustration of Mumps in Brother Studio! We all had a great time there. A wonderful vibe and I’m pleased that I can say I played Brian Wilson’s piano (knocked out a little Beethoven; 2nd movement of the Pathetique Sonata. Did it to impress a guy and it worked. Thanks Brian!) during the heyday of my punk rock youth. That being said, Brian Wilson remains at the top of the list of great 20th Century composers. Thanks for all the wonderful music. And PS – you would have LOVED The Last. |
