We premiered Abram Shook’s effervescent pop experiment “Understood,” the first song off his new album, Landscape Dream, and today he’s released a worthy foil to that in the form of “Perfect.” Where “Understood” was sprockety and zinging with static, “Perfect” lingers in watercolor balladry, Shook’s voice a flitting, tentative presence. For a song that dismantles the notion that things can be without fault, it’s damn near flawless. Listen below.
