Watch Fetty Wap & The Roots Play “Trap Queen” On The Tonight Show
“Trap Queen,” the single from the Paterson, New Jersey sing-rapper Fetty Wap, has had quite a journey, graduating from street hit to genuine crossover smash. And now, months after its release, Fetty Wap has had a pretty incredible couple of days. First, there was the “Trap Queen” remix, with verses from Azealia Banks and Gucci Mane and Quavo. Then, Drake pulled a Drake and jumped on Fetty Wap’s “My Way,” effectively guaranteeing that Fetty would escape one-hit wonder status. And last night, Fetty was on The Tonight Show, singing “Trap Queen” with the Roots backing him up and looking absolutely thrilled to be there. His one eye was just beaming. Check out the performance below.
Given that “Trap Queen” sounds even nicer as it gets warmer outside, don’t expect it to go away anytime soon.
