Lana Del Rey Apologizes For Last Minute Dallas Cancellation
Last night, Lana Del Rey was scheduled to perform at Dallas’ open-air Gaxa Energy Pavilion, but had to cancel at the last minute due to inclement weather in the area. Everything started off smoothly, as Courtney Love was able to do her opening set, but things took a turn for the worse after the National Weather Service issued a severe weather alert warning of tornados and thunderstorms, which forced the singer to cancel. “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m sorry that we weren’t allowed to get on stage tonight,” she wrote in an Instagram. “And I’m sorry that I wasn’t granted my request to at least tell you that in person.” I can’t even imagine what thousands of pissed off Lana Del Rey fans looks like… Oh wait:

Here’s LDR’s Instagram, showing the rough conditions they would have had to face:
The Dallas show was meant to be the second stop on her Endless Summer tour, which kicked off in Houston on Thursday. There, she covered “Why Don’t Do Do Right?”, plus brought out a few rarities, including “Serial Killer,” “Us Against The World,” and a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel No 2.” Watch videos of that below.
