Wavves Might Be Working With Vince Staples
What do Wavves and Vince Staples have in common? They’re both synonymous with Southern California, boasting the kind of too-chill-to-function attitudes envied by anyone who’s never lived on the West Coast. So, Wavves’ hint that the two artists might be collaborating isn’t as confounding as it might initially seem; if you’re not in favor of genre-bending, then you’re just not made for this decade. Staples dropped “Señorita” last week, the first single off of his forthcoming debut album, Summertime ’06, and it made our list of 5 Best Songs Of The Week. Clearly, we’re not the only ones stoked on Staples’ new material.

In other Wavves collaboration news, the band’s album with Cloud Nothings, No Life For Me, is due out sometime this year.
