Les Savy Fav frontman Tim Harrington was once indie rock’s greatest clown-stuntman. I will never forget the sight of him scrambling up a streetlight pole at an outdoor Baltimore show in 2001, the mic chord clamped between his teeth. But Harrington is older and more mellow now, and he’s got a couple of kids. In 2012, he published his first children’s book, This Little Piggy. Next week, he’ll publish Nose To Toes, You Are Yummy!, his second. Harrington wrote and illustrated the book, and he also recorded an accompanying acoustic ditty, also called “Nose To Toes, You Are Yummy!” Les Savy Fav contributed a song called “Shoes” to a Yo Gabba Gabba! episode back in 2009, so this isn’t anything new for Harrington, but it’s still striking to hear this guy getting so wholesome all of a sudden.
