Future Death – “Familiar Tremors” (Stereogum Premiere)
Austin quartet Future Death defies the notion that punks are lazy. Since 2013, they’ve released their self-titled debut EP, full-length Special Victim, and have gone on two tours. Now, they introduce their second EP, Cryptids, with the drop of “Familiar Tremors.” It is a blistering, punishing, all out thrash-a-thon, with soft harmonized vocals and a 20-second cool-down as the only relief. Don’t let the pace fool you, though. Each sound still has a distinct, rhythmic presence to force you into quick head-bangs. Maybe squeeze in some quick neck stretches before you check it out below.
The Cryptids EP is out 6/23 via Bloodmoss. Pre-order is available here and here.
