Watch José González’s Lovely Kimmel Performance
José González, the Swedish-Argentine crooner of blissed-out lullabies, released his Vestiges & Claws album back in February, but he didn’t get around to promoting it on American TV until last night, when he was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. On the show proper, he played his lovely lilting single “Leaf Off / The Cave,” with a full and extremely hippie-ish choir backing him up. And as an online bonus, he also trotted out “Killing For Love,” a song from his 2007 album In Our Nature. Both sounded great, and I love the way this guy uses percussionists. Watch both performances below.
Vestiges & Claws is out now on Mute.
