The Velvet Teen will release All Is Illusory, their first album in nearly ten years, at the end of the month. A few weeks ago we heard the record’s debut single, “The Giving In.” All Is Illusory follows 2006’s Cum Laude!, and though there’s nothing dated about these new singles, the Velvet Teen have held onto their mid-2000s indie swagger in the form of Judah Nagler’s distinct, emotive voice. That, accompanied by squelching synths and spiraling guitar work, makes “Eclipses” a raucous first listen. Check it out below.
