A couple of months ago, Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach announced that he had a new side project called the Arcs and that he’s have a new boxing-themed 7″ coming out. As it turns out, the project is more extensive than that. The Arcs isn’t just a solo project; it’s a full band that also features members like prolific indie rock producer Richard Swift and El Michels Affair leader Leon Michel. And they don’t just have a single coming out; there’s an album called Yours, Dreamily set to arrive at the end of the summer. First single “Stay In My Corner” is a lush midtempo blues-rocker, and it’s got Auerbach flexing a surprisingly impressive white-soul falsetto. Auerbach claims that the song was written about the recent Mayweather/Pacquiao fight. Check it out below, as well as the Yours, Dreamily tracklist.
