MC Ren Is Pissed He’s Not In The Straight Outta Compton Trailer
The most recent trailer for the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton came out a few months ago, but founding member MC Ren took to Twitter today to air his grievances about not being included. “Man fuck these bitches at universal pictures leaving me out the movie trailers tryin to rewrite history,” he wrote. Probably understandably, the trailer focused on Dr. Dre and Ice Cube — the two most well-known members of the group — and shafted the rest of them, with Ren and DJ Yella not appearing at all. Both of them do have roles in the film — Ren is played by Adis Hodge and Neil Brown Jr. portrays DJ Yella — but Ren thinks it’s total bullshit that they didn’t make an appearance in the trailer. Here are his tweets:

MC Ren will reunite with Ice Cube and DJ Yella on 6/27 to perform N.W.A. tracks at the BET Experience. Straight Outta Compton comes out 8/14.
