Watch Jamie xx Play Seth Meyers With Romy, Jehnny Beth, Caroline Polachek, More
Jamie xx released his solo masterpiece In Colour earlier this month, and one of its high points is “Loud Places,” the bittersweet disco banger that features a lovely, longing vocal from Jamie’s xx bandmate Romy Madley Croft. Earlier this month, he performed “Loud Places” on the French show Le Grand Journal with Croft, fellow xx member Oliver Sim, and a full gospel choir. And last night on American TV, he did that one better. This time, his live band once again included Croft and Sim, and he also got help from an impressive lineup that included Savages’ Jehnny Beth, Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek, L.A. singer-songwriter Moses Sumney, and Norwegian artist Okay Kaya. Names aside, it’s a lovely performance of a lovely song, and you can watch it below.
In Colour is out now on Young Turks.
