The Galleria – “Calling Card” (Feat. Jessy Lanza)

While '80s-inspired synths have resonated through modern pop, Morgan Geist's new project the Galleria sounds more like a throwback straight from the decade. The former Metro Area member echoes to his suburban New Jersey roots and shopping mall hangout jams with "Calling Card." The dance track -- from the released Calling Card / Mezzanine EP -- is reminiscent of beautifully cheesy and friendly bubblegum pop anthems for teens. It also features sultry heartbreak vocals from Jessy Lanza, whose You Never Show Your Love EP is out next month, as she breathily sings "these bitter tears are your calling card." Listen below.
