Tink – “I Like”
Tink continues to release new tracks as she works on her full-length debut album, ThinkTink, with Timbaland, but for her last two songs she’s enlisted other producers as well. For “Wet Dollars” she worked with Chicago producer Tazer, and today’s new release “I Like” was produced by C-Sick. Tink returns to sensual R&B vibes for this one, crooning over C-Sick’s clattering beats. It’s a very “Netflix and chill” take on romance, and reminds me more of Winter’s Diary 2 than anything she’s put out recently, which is a good thing. Tink is really good at weaving her desire, love, and insecurities into the same verse; here, she captures the ways we self-sabotage while still conveying all her affection. Listen.
ThinkTink will be out later this year via Mosley Music/Epic Records.
