Ariel Pink is a few days away from heading out on a tour with Black Lips, but in addition to those dates, he’s just announced a couple of special one-off shows. Later this month, he’ll open for DeVotchKa in Colorado, performing with a string section from the Colorado Symphony. And in August, he’ll perform at Australia’s Supersense festival, both in a solo set and playing a “reimagined and improvised repertoire” of music by krautrock greats Ash Ra Tempel with frontman Manuel Göttsching, Shags Chamberlain, and Oren Ambarchi.
