Earlier this year, we premiered Lobby’s polished sophisti-pop single “In These Times,” and now the Toronto five-piece returns with another dreamy one-off single preceding their debut EP. “Through The Veil” is a shimmering beauty produced by Leon Taheny (who produced their previous single and has worked with Owen Pallett, Fucked Up, and Austra among others). It captures the ongoing modern-day revamp of the ’80s, with cold and echoing synths that are warmed by a grooving bass line. The airy pop verses and chiming guitars really drive the breathy, sensual vocals about longing love. It would make for one sexy video, but for now, listen below.

Lobby’s EP currently has no release day but is expected to be out this fall.
