Watch Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein And Corin Tucker Give Advice To Teen Girls
Rookie has a recurring series called Ask A Grown [Man/Woman] in which they enlist famous musicians/celebrities/people to give advice to teenage quandaries. One of the best things about the series is the way it highlights just how universal most of these dilemmas are; the problems of teenagers aren’t necessarily that different from the problems of adults. Still, watching famous adults treat the problems of teenagers with empathy and care is always endearing. In the latest installment, Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney tackle how to kindly break up with someone, how to kiss for the first time, and what it’s like to have a crush on your friend and deal with the process of coming out. These aren’t easy questions, and Tucker and Brownstein don’t take them lightly. Watch below.
