Indictment Alleges Young Thug And Birdman Conspired To Kill Lil Wayne
Lil Wayne has been feuding with his former Cash Money Records label boss Birdman for a while now, and a couple of days ago, Birdman allegedly threw a drink at Wayne mid-performance. Things might be way more serious than beverage-throwing, though: Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot at back in April, and as HipHopDX reports, a new indictment alleges that Birdman, new protege Young Thug, and a third man were conspiring to assassinate Wayne. Thug’s tour manager Jimmy Winfrey was previously arrested as a suspect in the incident in May. Thug and Birdman have not been charged with anything yet, but they’re being investigated for Bloods gang affiliations, and Thug’s video for “Halftime” is being used as evidence. (In other news, Thug was just arrested today for threatening to shoot a mall cop.) Read a series of tweets from Mike Petchenik of Atlanta’s WSB-TV below for more details.
