The veteran Compton rap innovator DJ Quik released the excellent, nastily playful album The Midnight Life last year, and now he's got a video for the lush, idiosyncratic album track "Puffin The Dragon." The video serves as a Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas parody, with Quik playing Hunter S. Thompson. We see him piloting an old Cadillac through the desert, toward Las Vegas, with a whole lot of illicit stuff in the trunk and different visions dancing across his windshield. Check it out below.
