The worst possible way to dump someone is via text. It’s inconsiderate, lacks respect, and is just so ridiculously juvenile — yet sadly, it’s all too relatable. Toronto-based producer Harrison is the protégé of Ryan Hemsworth and Star Slinger. The video for his song “How Can It Be” shares an intimate text message breakup from the point of view of the breakup instigator’s phone. The best part: It is actually meant to be played on your phone. The images fit the phone screen perfectly in a way that casts you, the viewer, as the one who is tearing this relationship apart. Sometimes things are just easier to deal with through a screen rather than in person. Watch and see.
