Damien Rice – “On Children”

Damien Rice Hypnosis The Prophet

Damien Rice Hypnosis The Prophet

Earlier this summer, we heard Damien Rice's uplifting track "Hypnosis," the first of his two original songs for the upcoming children's movie The Prophet. The movie, which is produced by Salma Hayek-Pinaultis, is based on a 1923 collection of philosophical essays by Lebanese author Kahlil Gibran. Now he shares the second of the pair. "On Children" is a beautiful and quiet acoustic track that embraces the film's themes on life lessons and instilling wisdom. Rice incorporates slow, crying Arabian strings that build into a roaring, cinematic chanting melody. Listen below.

The Prophet soundtrack is out now via Warner Bros.
