Widowspeak – “Dead Love (So Still)”
Widowspeak take the best parts of folk and shoegaze and twist them together in a lovely, non-threatening storm. The duo just finished up their summer tour alongside acts like Jessica Pratt and Small Black, and now they’re about one month out from their new record release. The album is called All Yours, and thus far we’ve heard “Girls” and the title track. Today you can enjoy “Dead Love (So Still),” a track premiered by The Fader. After their last release, Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas left concrete Brooklyn for the green pastures of the Hudson Valley. The two took their time writing All Yours — they got a dog, they focused on other projects (Hamilton went to school), and they let the music come naturally. It shows on breezy songs like this. All Yours is out 9/4 on Captured Tracks. Pre-order it here.
