The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion – “The Ballad Of Joe Buck” Video
The blues-punk power trio Jon Spencer Blues Explosion never disperse from the scene for long, and they regrouped earlier this year for their 10th album Freedom Tower – No Wave Dance Party 2015. These rock veterans know how to embody the grimy chaos and glory days of old-school New York, and their latest video, directed by Andrew Hooper, is no exception. “The Ballad Of Joe Buck” sets a fiery two-minute track to a grainy, black-and-white rock n’ roll montage, jumping through snippets of a negative-filmed dumpster diver sporting a vintage movie camera for a head. A mysterious tagger sprays JSBX graffiti, while the band carries out what they do best on stage. Watch it below.
