Sky Ferreira has a role in Eli Roth’s upcoming horror film The Green Inferno, which is about a group of student activists who get taken hostage by a tribe of cannibals they’re trying to protect. As Pitchfork points out, the movie premiered back in 2013 at the Toronto International Film Festival, but it’s finally seeing a U.S. release this fall. Ferreira plays Kaycee, the protagonist’s best friend. This is being called Ferreira’s feature film debut, but that’s actually not true — she also starred in the 2010 indie Putty Hill. The Green Inferno hits theaters 9/25. Ferreira has also been cast in the upcoming film Elvis & Nixon.
