Baltimore electronic fixture Co La (real name Matt Papich) is back two years after his Software label debut, Moody Coup, with another new full-length called No No. He’s just shared the first new track from the release, “Suffering (Tuesday),” and you can feel the real-world anxieties weighing deep. Police sirens wail in the background, car horns and truncated whispers occupy the glass shattering beat. The new album was written as “a reflection of Papich’s interest in the never ending psycho-drama that is the American news cycle” (per his PR), and you can feel those worries in every corner of this song.
