HeCTA – “Sympathy For The Auto Industry”
HeCTA are a curious beast: A disco-house side project that features three members of the long-running Nashville orchestral alt-country band Lambchop, including frontman Kurt Wagner. Next month, they’ll release their debut album The Diet. We’ve already posted their songs “Till Someone Gets Hurt” and “The Concept,” and now they’ve shared the murmuring, bittersweet dance-pop song “Sympathy For The Auto Industry.” The song has major New Order undertones, and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Norris tells The Wall Street Journal that the song was “the easiest to make and therefore the most immediate track on the album.” Listen to it below.
The Diet is out 9/18 on Merge.
