Mac Miller – “Pet Sounds” (Feat. Sean Price)
On Sunday morning, the great Brooklyn rapper Sean Price died suddenly in his sleep. Besides one hell of a legacy, Price also left behind a wife and three kids. Immediately after his death, Price’s label Duck Down started up a crowdfunding campaign to support the man’s family. And to draw attention to that effort, Mac Miller has shared “Pet Sounds,” an unreleased Price collab he had sitting around. At least until Price shows up, the track is a fine piece of stoned rap nonsense, with Miller stuttering pleasantly over an ambling Nottz beat. When Price shows up, the track all of a sudden becomes a whole lot more focused. That happened a lot when Price showed up on tracks. That guy could rap. Listen to it below.
