Preview Fred Armisen & Bill Hader’s Blue Jean Committee Documentary And Watch The Band Reunite On Seth Meyers
Fred Armisen and Bill Hader have long been toeing the line between comedy and music, with Armisen even going so far as to release a couple of the parody tracks they’d schemed up on SNL over the years. Well, there’s plenty more where that came from.
Documentary Now! is Armisen, Hader, and Seth Meyers’ new IFC series that spoofs documentary styles, and the upcoming final installment of this season will take on Behind The Music-style music docs. It follows the Blue Jean Committee — a band that originated on SNL — and is entitled Gentle & Soft: The Story Of The Blue Jean Committee. In a tie-in, Drag City is releasing the Northampton act’s “best” material on a Catalina Breeze EP.
