Bloc Party played their first show in two years last night at The Glasshouse in Pomona, CA. Following the departures of original drummer Matt Tong and bassist Gordon Moakes, the band featured a radically different lineup, with Louise Bartle on drums and someone named “Justin” playing bass. Earlier this year, frontman Kele Okereke confirmed that a new Bloc Party album was on the way, and during yesterday’s gig, he revealed that they’ve “just finished recording” it. They also debuted two new songs from the record, opening with “Edon” and saving “Exes” for the encore. Watch both below.
