Nick Sanborn almost definitely eclipsed his participation in Megafaun with the popularity of Sylvan Esso, his collaboration with Amelia Meath. The electronic duo has become a festival staple over the past year since their very good debut album was released, and now Sanborn is following up that success with a new solo project called Made Of Oak. (No strand, though.) He’s announcing the endeavor with a shadowy teaser video for his debut release, an EP by the name of Penumbra, and judging by the new music we can hear in the clip, it looks like he’s embracing the warm synths that made Sylvan Esso so enjoyable.
