SNL‘s First 3 Musical Guests This Season: Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Demi Lovato
While we anxiously wait to see what major “indie” artist will be the first to cross over to the SNL stage this year — my money’s on Chvrches, Tame Impala, or Beach House — the show has gone ahead and announced the first three musical guests of its 41st season, which will start in October.
They’re all pretty big pop names, but some of these will be interesting nonetheless: Miley Cyrus will be both host and musical guest for the premiere episode (10/3), fresh off the release of her (IMO very good) new release Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. The Weeknd will be the musical guest the following week (10/10), opposite host Amy Schumer. And Demi Lovato will take the stage on 10/17, alongside a rehabilitated and returning Tracy Morgan.
Sounds like a relatively exciting start!
