Greys – “I’d Hate To Be An Actor”
The OG Band To Watch Greys haven’t released a new song since last year, when we heard their cover of Stereolab’s “The Noise Of Carpet,” but they’re back today with a new single and EP announcement. Repulsion is due out right before Halloween and will be released on the Toronto-based label Buzz Records in conjunction with Carpark. The band’s last album If Anything is a heavy, cathartic listen that makes you feel deep stuff if you’re in the right head space for it. “I’d Hate To Be An Actor” follows a similar trajectory. Greys’ singer Shehzaad Jiwani told The FADER about the song’s lyrics:
“I’d Hate To Be An Actor” is about that strange juxtaposition of being a little spoon with your partner, completely at peace physically while the noise in your head is overwhelming.

The Repulsion EP is out 10/29 via Carpark/Buzz Records.
