The Dirty Nil – “No Weaknesses” (Stereogum Premiere)
The Dirty Nil have been together (and touring) in some form or the other since 2008, and they’ve left a series of 7-inches and splits in their wake. Next year, they’ll finally put out their debut album, but first they’ve got one more single up their sleeves: “No Weaknesses” is the kind of thrashing-but-still-in-control track that sounds like it would play great life, and plays almost as good on record. The Canadian trio builds up an impenetrable rock wall in two-and-a-half-minutes time, bolstering the song’s claim that they’re pretty much invincible. Listen below.
