Stephen Colbert’s Late Show is becoming quite the musical destination in its opening weeks. We’ve already seen an all-star Sly Stone cover and a stunning Kendrick Lamar medley. A mysterious Paul Simon tribute band is booked for 9/11, and a Run The Jewels/TV On The Radio collaboration is on the docket for next week. And now comes news via The New York Times’ Dave Itzkoff that the sonic heavyweights will keep coming in Colbert’s third week on the job. Pearl Jam, Dan Auerbach’s new band the Arcs, and rising star Raury are among the artists lined up for late September. Noted R.E.M. fan Donald Trump will be there, too!
