dd elle – “all i ever need” (Stereogum Premiere)
dd elle is the new age-electronica and synthpop project of New Jersey-based producer Dan Casey. He announced his forthcoming debut EP, u, with lead single “unrequited,” and “all i ever need” is the newest track pulled from the project. The song shares elements of an ’80s space-age soundtrack fused with smooth tones and heavy bass, all of which glitters and syncopates as one. Casey’s vocals are soft and delicate, his voice blossoming in and out of subtly lustful desire: “Your hands touching me/ it’s all I ever need.” It’s blissfully tender and futuristic, Casey’s verses and synth grooves combining together to send you into a stupor of serenity.
