Gemma – “Reminiscent Vice”
We’ve heard two tracks from Gemma’s upcoming debut album — “Good Grace and “As Ever,” both equally great — and today they’ve come out with a third called “Reminiscent Vice” that’s just as good. This one is the most free-form we’ve heard from them yet, as Ava Luna’s Felicia Douglass lets her vocals take a backseat and creates a fluttering mood piece alongside the duo’s other half, Erik Gundel. “‘Reminiscent Vice’ is about giving in to reality and feeling its weight,” she explained to The Line Of Best Fit. “It’s a cathartic release. The lush instrumental is meant to be the focus, with vocals weaving in and out like a stream of consciousness.” Listen below.
As Ever is out 10/2 via Inflated Records. Pre-order it here.
