Haybaby's clear sound and disciplined approach to indie rock feels relieving, an antidote to the thankfully dwindling trend of every band drenching their sound in reverb. The trio's been a constant presence in Brooklyn’s DIY scene for almost five years, and now they’re finally putting out a full-fledged album, titled Sleepy Kids. We noted Haybaby as a Band To Watch back in August and were charmed by their last single, "Doored." Their latest, "Elevator Song," carries a distinctly deeper groove. Leslie Hong's voice glides over a three-note guitar riff, singing about that doubtful feeling you may have when a relationship feels stagnant. "Things fell apart when you moved the bed in our room/ No more dusty photos of our moms, no elevator songs, no more with you." Listen below.
