“Our Distant Bodies” shows a side to Virginian dream pop trio Eternal Summers that we don’t get to see very often. While most of their music consists of breezy, weightless pop like “Together Or Alone” and “Come Alive,” this bonus track from their latest LP, Gold and Stone, is more pensive and slowed down. The serene plucking of an acoustic guitar leads the way for modest strings and the occasional chimes of an electric guitar. Drums are entirely absent, which allows more breathing room for Nicole Yun’s awe-stricken vocals to expand and float away. Listen below.
