Never Young – “New Villain”
Bay Area noise-punk quartet Never Young veer just enough toward the melodic side to give their songs a pop feel, and their latest track “New Villain” doubles down on that possibility more than ever. They released their self-titled EP back in March, and shared a new single “Stress Hed” last month to announce a 3-song EP with producer Jack Shirley that comes out today. “New Villain” captures their punk ambiguity better than ever before, and Shirley works his singular magic here yet again, polishing up the fuzz until it positively shines without losing any of its bite.
