Pimp C, one half of Texas rap duo UGK, died in 2007. After a handful of posthumous features, an entire posthumous album is now on the way, Pitchfork reports. It’s called Long Live The Pimp, it’ll be out next month, and it was put together by Pimp C’s widow Chinara Butler. “This album is the culmination of years of work from not just me, but also the amazing artists and producers who contributed to make it happen,” she said in a statement. “It combines several of the ideas and projects my husband began before his untimely passing. We hope the Trill fans enjoy it.” Bun B, Nas, A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J, T.I., and more will all appear, and you can hear the LP’s Lil Wayne-featuring first single “3 Way Freak” below.
