Savannah, Georgia indie rockers Triathalon trace some aspects of '90s indie and surf rock but seem more inclined to bask in the waves than ride them. Their impressive debut LP, Low-Tide, embodied this down to the name, and their follow-up builds upon their sound with brighter melodies and expert cohesion. The entirety of Nothing Bothers Me is washed in a thin layer of floaty reverb, but speckled here and there throughout its course are slight bursts of energy and surfy instrumental breaks. Previous single "Slip'n" takes on a new, seven-minute form, beginning with a long, hushed introductory section before thrusting into gear. The entire album satisfies somewhat as a musical tonic. Much like how the repetitive drone of the waves can be lulling and sweet, it gently urges you to recline, day-dream and shelve your bothers for a while. Listen to the whole thing below.
