Freddie Gibbs – “Extradite” (Feat. Black Thought) & “Packages” (Feat. ManMan Savage)
Next month, the insanely gifted Gary, Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs will release the new album Shadow Of A Doubt. He only announced the album’s existence a couple of weeks ago, unveiling it along with his video for his very good single “Fuckin’ Up The Count.” And now, as Pitchfork reports, he’s shared a couple more singles from the album. The better of the two is “Extradite,” a hazy rap sprint that features the Roots’ Black Thought, taking a break from slow-jamming the news to drop two of his hardest verses in a while. And while “Packages” might be the lesser of the two songs; it’s still a good one. It’s got a beat from the 808 Mafia producer Tarentino and a verse from the Atlanta rapper ManMan Savage. Listen to both of them below.
Shadow Of A Doubt is out 11/20 on Gibbs’ own ESGN label.
