New Pusha T Album Darkest Before Dawn Out In December
Last week, Pusha T shared the video for his new Timbaland-produced single “Untouchable” and teased a few details of his upcoming album King Push: Darkest Before Dawn. But it turns out that King Push and Darkest Before Dawn are actually two separate albums, with Darkest Before Dawn coming 12/18 on G.O.O.D. Music (which Pusha is the new president of) and the long-awaited King Push to follow sometime this spring. Pusha explains in a new interview with Noisey:
I’ve been recording so much — I didn’t want to break up that body of work. I feel like I had the producers doing things that they weren’t usually known for, a little out of their wheelhouse. I wanted to give the fans that body of work. That’s the music I love, and that’s the music that my fans love from me. Instead of having those moments throughout King Push, let’s just separate the game.
Pusha also told Noisey that Darkest Before Dawn will feature production from Kanye West, Puff Daddy, Timbaland, Baauer, Q-Tip, and Nashiem Myrick, among others.
UPDATE: Features on the album include West, A$AP Rocky, Beanie Sigel, The-Dream, Kehlani, and Jill Scott. Here’s a trailer…
