When Busta Rhymes’ name shows up in our news feed these days, it’s usually for some dumb shit like throwing a protein shake at a gym employee. But it would be insane to count Busta out, ever. Case in point: On Saturday night, as Miss Info points out, Busta partnered with Hot 97 for a huge show at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. He brought out an absolutely insane number of celebrity guests: Mariah Carey, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Puff Daddy, Mary J. Blige, Lil Kim, Jadakiss, Fetty Wap, Method Man and Redman, French Montana, Raekwon, M.O.P., Sean Paul, Naughty By Nature. And in a great ’90s-dork moment, he also reunited Leaders Of The New School, the early-’90s rap group that brought him to the national stage. Before last weekend, they’d only reunited once since their 1994 breakup — at a 2012 Tribe Called Quest show. And this time, a Tribe Called Quest, who recently got back together on The Tonight Show, joined LOTNS to do their classic-among-classics “Scenario (Remix).” Watch the performance below.
