Devendra Banhart still hasn’t put out an album since 2013’s Mala, but he’s been keeping himself busy with various projects. He released two art books earlier this year, and now, Pitchfork reports that he’s scoring an upcoming comedy film called Joshy. Directed by Jeff Baena, who previously directed Life After Beth and co-wrote I Heart Huckabees with David O. Russell, the movie has a great cast of comedic actors including Nick Kroll, Jenny Slate, Thomas Middleditch, Adam Pally, and Brett Gelman, and it follows the story of a guy — the eponymous Josh — who decides to go through with his bachelor party plans even after his engagement ends badly. It’ll screen at next year’s Sundance Film Festival in January.
