PJ Harvey has spent all of 2015 working on a new album, recording it as part of a public art installation in London. And she’s debuted a few new songs live. But now we get official confirmation, straight from Harvey’s Twitter, that the new LP is coming in spring. This will be her first album since 2011’s stunning Let England Shake, and based on the 30 seconds of music she’s shared in her tweet, this is a reason to get very, very excited. (Another reason to get excited: Harvey’s decades-long history of making great music.) Seriously, the little bit of music we hear below is the sort of earthy blues-rock stomp that Harvey hasn’t made in years, and I can’t wait to hear the whole album. Check it out below.
