Watch Britt Daniel, Wayne Coyne, Brandon Flowers, & Weird Al Cover The Traveling Wilburys At George Fest
Back in September 2014, a ton of musical celebrities participated in George Fest, a tribute to the late Beatle George Harrison. The performance is being spun off into an upcoming concert film and album called George Fest: A Night To Celebrate The Music Of George Harrison. A lot of the set was made available via fan-shot videos shortly after the event, but now we’ll be able to see them professionally done. The first performance video to be released is the grand finale cover of the Traveling Wilburys’ “Handle With Care.” There’s an absurd amount of people on the stage for the performance, among them Spoon’s Britt Daniel, the Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne, the Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Norah Jones, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Harrison’s son Dhani, and Big Black Delta’s Jonathan Bates. You can watch the video via Pitchfork below.
George Fest: A Night to Celebrate the Music of George Harrison is out 2/26 via Hot/Vagrant.
