Låpsley is Holly Fletcher, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from London. Last year, she released an impressive debut EP called Understudy. And this morning, she’s announced that she’ll release her debut album Long Way Home in a couple of months. She recorded it with the xx producer Rodaidh McDonald, who knows how to make tasteful British music sound very cool, and it’ll include some new versions of her previously-released songs. The first single is a new one called “Love Is Blind,” which sounds like a far-chiller version of an Ellie Goulding ballad. It’s pretty good! Listen below.
