Watch Wet’s Lovely Tonight Show Performance
Yesterday, our own Chris DeVille wrote a great column about pop, indie, and groups like the Massachusetts trio Wet, who seem to be caught between the two worlds. But after witnessing Wet’s performance on last night’s Tonight Show, you may find yourself wishing for a world where stuff like this qualified as straight-up pop music. Wet do slow, stately, soul-inflected synthpop. And on last night’s show, they did “Weak,” one of the advance singles from their much-anticipated debut album Don’t You, which is out next week. For most of us, this is the first chance to see Wet in action, and singer Kelly Zutrau has a whole lot of presence. Watch the performance below.
Don’t You is out 1/29 on Columbia.
